Progressions







These are just some quick snaps of some paintings i've been working on.  I also recently did a small body of work in this similar style (before these two) on bones. I may post a few images from this body of work also, only because it pertains to the painting style i've been trying to work in, and i may get some useful comments on color selections, brush strokes, etc.

    Your brush strokes create such energy. They give still life figures a vitality that would otherwise be stagnant subjects. Strong colors are the icing on the cake. Well done.

  2. As with most of your work, I am enjoying looking at these. I think Laurie's point about the energy of your brushwork and your choice of palette bringing energy and life to your subjects is a good one to keep in mind. Unfortunately, I don't recognize who (or what?) the bottom one is supposed to be, other than that it represents a seated figure. Also not sure I'm really seeing your concept come through yet, but I know these are still in the early stages, so I'll look forward to later versions.
